Ports & Bridges: Multitwinning 2026

Celebrating the 20 years of multitwinning

We are excited to invite the Multitwinning chapters to Turku from 19 to 22 March 2026! Founded in 2006, Ports & Bridges is an active project between JCI chapters located in the cities of Antwerpen, Duisburg, Hamburg, Istanbul, Riga and Rotterdam. All member chapters in Ports & Bridges are water-bound cities and logistic centres with vibrant harbor activities.

The main goal of multitwinning is the establishment of an active international exchange between the chapters. The key focus is a to transfer cultural and business know-how, as well as bonding between individuals, which in turn will strengthen the European JCI network.

The registration for the P&B 2026 is LIVE! This event is for the members of P&B chapters.

Programme

19.–22.3.2026

Thursday 19.3. Arrival to Turku, Finland & welcome event at Svarte Rudolf, an old steamship turned to a restaurant.

Friday 20.3. Visit to Meyer Turku Shipyard, lunch and sightseeing. A chance to dine at Smör, a Michelin Guide restaurant (at own expence, registration later).

Saturday 21.3. Board meeting, company visit & lunch or sightseeing (TBC), evening gala

Sunday 22.3. Networking over breakfast (at own expence) & departure

Sat 21.3. Second company visit and lunch/coffee OR sightseeing (TBC), the board meeting with catering for the presidents, INTs and other P&B organizers. An evening gala with food and beverages.

Terms, cancellation and changes:

Some additional events may be at your own expense, but will be announced separately.
Travel, accommodation and breakfast are not included in the price.
We reserve the right to change the programme.
The registration fee is paid upon registration.
If the participation is canceled by 31.12.2025, 100% of the participation fee will be refunded.
If the participation is canceled between 1.1.–31.1.2026, 50% of the participation fee will be refunded.
After 31.1.2026, the participation fee will not be refunded.

Scandic Hamburger Börs

Hamburger Börs has hosted guests right in the centre of Turku since 1894. Stylishly renovated a few years ago, the hotel offers a great gathering spot for our event. We have our own room quota for the period of 19.–22.3.2026, and the price includes breakfast and WiFi. You can use the offer code EVNT upon booking.

Please note, that the offered rates are starting prices, and they may vary depending on the number of people and the selected payment terms (non-refundable/refundable or pay now/later). Rates update dynamically as we get closer to the event date. Our quota states that the rates should not exceed 170€ per night (Standard King, 2 persons). Limited number of offered rooms. Reservations can be made no later than 10 days before arrival.

Feel free to ask for other accommodation and hotel recommendations! For example, on Airbnb it is possible to find accommodation in the center of Turku for a group of 4–6 people starting at 89€ per night.

Arrival

All the roads lead to Turku!

Turku has its own airport and port with regular flights and ferry connections. From some cities, it may be more convenient and time-saving to fly directly to Turku, rather than make a stop in Helsinki! Turku Airport
Please note that it takes appr. 2 hours by bus or by train from Helsinki Airport or central railway station to Turku. At the moment, there are unfortunately no direct flights from HEL to TKU.
VISA: to our knowledge, members of participating JCI chapters might need a visa to enter Finland, unless their country of origin is covered by the Schengen agreement. Please check your country’s travel requirements in advance:

By train or bus

There are multiple trains leaving from Helsinki central railway station to Turku (and vice versa) daily. The price of a one-way ticket is usually between 5,90–25€. Official website for train connections.

For bus connections, you have several service providers to choose from, such as Onnibus, Matkahuolto and FlixBus. You can even find a bus from Helsinki Airport to Turku. Price starts from 5 €. Please note that not all schedules have been published yet.

By ferry

If you are feeling adventurous, you can take a special cruise ferry from Stockholm, Sweden, to Turku or vice versa! The ferries are like floating luxury hotels with breathtaking views of the archipelago. The journey takes appr. 11 hours. Price example: STO-TKU 4 adults in seaside cabin 146 € (Viking Line).
